In love with a new Masterpiece...

Watch the full episode. See more Masterpiece.

I have fallen in love with the latest offering from Masterpiece: Upstairs Downstairs. I have never seen the original Upstairs Downstairs series, but am ordering it on DVD. This new series picks up well after the first left off; it's now a few years before the start of World War II. The house and fashions from the 1930s are exquisite ~ it's worth watching for those alone. That era had many difficulties, which perhaps makes the beautiful interiors and clothes that much more beautiful in comparison. The series will run over several weeks on PBS; it started on Sunday. Even if you missed the first episode, it can be viewed online here until May 24. You can watch a preview above. Pour yourself a cup of tea and enjoy.

Note: You'll need to turn off the music in my blog so you can hear the Upstairs Downstairs preview. Just go to the very bottom of the page and hit the pause button.

I enjoyed this too, more series are in the pipeline. What about Downton Abbey? You'd love that, I'm sure that might be available. I think there are going to be Christmas specials too in the UK.

I missed this last Sunday!!! Forgot all about it and I really wanted to see it. :(
However... usually PBS replays at some point (Saturdays I think) during the week so I'll try and see if I can find part 1 to watch!

Thanks for the reminder, I LOVE shows like that. :)
