Catching up and making plans...

Hello, everyone. I know it's been a couple of weeks since I checked in here, but I promise I have a good excuse: I've been busy packing and coordinating my move across country. Moving is always a chore, but this time it's also kind of special. After six years in California, I'm moving back to my fabulous old house in the Carolinas ~ the original Pink Home. I can't wait to show it to all of you. I have sooo many redecorating plans, too. I'm so excited to get started.
Anyway, between the move and filling in for someone at work (while still doing my own job), I haven't had any spare time for blogging. I have been toting my camera around more than usual, though, snapping photographs of all the things I love as I race around. If you'd like a little tour of my neighborhood along with some other bits of California beauty before I leave, be sure to stop by my other blog, The Art of Living Beautifully, over the next couple of weeks.
And that brings us to the tulip pictures you see here. In addition to snapping lots of photos, I've also been playing with various filters. The vibrant photos are the original images. The others have a soft, antique filter applied. Which do you prefer? I keep going back and forth myself.
Finally, The Pink Home Shop will be temporarily closing at the end of the month and will reopen later this summer. I'm holding a moving sale through Monday ~ everything in the shop is 30 percent off, including fine art prints, note cards and fabric bundles. If you've had your eye on something, or need a lovely Mother's Day gift, I hope you'll take advantage of this sale. Enter MOVINGSALE30 at checkout.
As always, a big thank you to all of you for your continued support and encouragement. I'll see you in a few weeks. Until then...

I love tulips and these are so pretty! I wish that I could grow them - the last 50 that I planted rotten in the ground - "sigh". At least, I can enjoy yours - thanks!!
Your tulips are gorgeous. Best of luck with your move. We've moved so many times I've lost track. But good news that you are returning to the Carolinas.

My tulips are awful this year. It was nice and warm mid-March, then it got very cold again. They are quite stunted in size. :(

Good luck with the move! I'll be thinking of you. :)

My very best to you as you embark on your cross-country move. I am so excited for you...a bit envious, too, as our family misses living in the Southeast and is hoping to relocate as well.

Love and hugs,
Patti

In case you missed it...
