Work in progress: My pink living room...
Greetings, lovely ladies. My apologies for being gone so long, but moving really is a challenge. I did get moved safely across the country and all in all, everything is going pretty well. I've been incredibly busy and probably will remain that way for the next few months, but it's the good kind of busy ~ getting resettled, redecorating the house, getting The Pink Home Shop re-opened. I have a lot to share to with you now that I'm able to blog again.
For starters, I've been working on my living room, which is going to be pink, white and gray. (You can read about my plans here.) I managed to get the walls, wood trim and ceiling painted, so now it's on to the fun stuff: buying new furniture, hanging art and making curtains. I'm going to be using one of my own fabric designs for the drapes ~ Pink Floral Medley ~ which you can see a fat quarter of above. They're going to look wonderful against those soft pink walls, don't you think? I'm going to wallpaper one wall in the same pattern. I can't wait to get it all done.
Here's a before shot of the living room (and a bit of the dining room):
And here's what it looks like now after a little painting (please pardon the still-in-progress mess):
The floral couch is not staying; it's only there until I can get a new sofa. And the chair at the desk is actually meant for another room, but for now, it gives me a place to sit and blog. If you'd like to see the armoire I redid for the living room, click here.
I'll be around to visit over the next few days; it's lovely to be blogging again. Wishing all of you a fabulous weekend...
