The Floral Medley Collection...
It's funny how little ideas turn into big projects.
I wanted a fun, pretty floral pattern that wasn't overpowering with flowers and didn't look overly girly, so I set out to design one. I know that description seems contradictory, but I was able to realize my idea with this design. And then, once I had designed this pattern – Coral Medley was the very first color, in case you're wondering – I decided I wanted more options, which meant more colors. And that turned into months of work.
Today I'm thrilled to say my Floral Medley Fabric Collection is nearly complete. There are a couple of colors that need a tad more work, but for the most part, I'm pretty happy with each one. You've seen a couple of these patterns here and there as I put the finishing touches on them, but this is the first time I've assembled all of them together in one place.
In the first block are Pink Medley, Antique Coral Medley, Coral Medley and Goldenrod Medley in Blue. In the second block are Green & Pink Medley, Purple Medley, Pewter Medley and Ocean Medley. The pattern at the bottom is Goldenrod Medley in Plum. You can see what the Purple Medley fabric looks like printed in the photo below; all of the colors are on the same scale.
For now, my original fabric is available by the yard. In the future, after I get moved back east, I plan to offer pillows, curtains, dog beds, etc., made out of my own fabric designs.
My next plan for this lovely collection, or at least part of it? Wallpaper. Now won't that be exciting...
Since one of my patterns is indeed pink, I am linking to Pink Saturday at How Sweet the Sound.
Wishing all of you a lovely weekend...
