Footstool makeover...
I've had this little footstool for seven or eight years. A couple of years ago, it got stained pretty badly and ever since, it's been confined to hiding. I didn't want to get rid of it because it's a great little stool, with a seat that lifts for a bit of storage. Since I've been repainting walls and furniture, I figured it was time for this little beauty to get a facelift.
Before, the wood was a pale green with a green striped fabric, as you can see below. I painted the wood a sandstone color and recovered the top in one of my Pink Home fabrics ~ Pretty Polka Dots in Hot Pink. Everyone that has seen it thinks it's adorable, and I have to agree. It's the polka dot fabric that does it. I've been wanting to use one of my polka dot fabrics for awhile now and I think this was the perfect project. What do you think?
