Pink flowers in a pink vase in a pink room...

Doing my errands a few days ago, I saw these lovely pink tulips and lilies in the store and decided to bring them home with me. Now that all the holiday decorations are put away, I'm embracing a little bit of spring here and there. I thought the soft pink flowers would look lovely in my pink vase in my pink living room.
When I got home, I decided to put them on my desk for a bit of added beauty and inspiration. The desk, which holds my Mac that I use to create (blog, play with photos, design fabrics, etc.), is tucked away in a corner in my living room, as you can see in the last photo. Normally I would never think of putting a desk like this in the living room, but my monitor is too big for a roll-top or secretary, and it has to go somewhere. I figured I might as well put it in my favorite room where I find so much inspiration ~ I feel more creative surrounded by things that inspire me. And because my computer only has one cord, it's easy to store away when we have company, which leaves the desk empty for use as a small sideboard. My desk chair easily pulls out into the room for an extra seat, so it works all the way around.
I haven't typically kept flowers on my desk ~ in the living room I usually put them on a little table between the two arm chairs ~ and now I'm wondering why. I'm loving these so much that I think from now on I'll have to treat myself to flowers in both places.
Wishing all of you a lovely week, full of beautiful flowers...

Lilies are my absolute favorite flower for adding wonderful scent to a space. Your flowers are a great embellishment to an elegant room.

Eileen, your home is so perfectly serene. I used to have a blog titled In Stillness and Simplicity and the color of choice for that page was perfectly calming pink. I love what you've done in your home. I must browse your page a little longer.
Thank you for stopping by the shop, and for your kind words about our new home. It's a transitional place for about a year, but we decided not to wait to enjoy life so we've been having fun decorating.
Off to browse your page.
XOXO's,
Marcia

so many people have lovely well designed homes. Mine is a hodge podge of this and that. I love stuff and so I have loads of "stuff" around. I love this room with the pink and the clean lines. Beautiful

Pretty flowers! I love how you have your computer set up in an attractive way. It's funny but I really don't like having technology in my living room. I convinced my husband we needed a tv armoire so I could hide the tv and bought a laptop so I can remove it from the living room! Just seems more peaceful that way. However, I really like the desk that you used to set yours up and the way you've got it set up on an uncluttered surface really compliments the room. Very pretty!

Hope you have a great weekend. I've got a Homemaking Linkup party going on if you're interested in joining.
