Playing with new patterns and colors...

I love it when the creative juices get flowing. A couple of weeks ago, I had a sudden rush of ideas for new patterns and most of them turned out pretty well. I thought I'd share a sneak peek of how some of them look at this stage. I still need to print them as fabrics and wallpaper and then go back and do any necessary tweaking. (Or, if they're just not working, trash them.)
I wanted to create some large-scale patterns this time around, so I focused on that. The flourish pattern in both teal and light blue and the brightly colored suzani pattern directly below are all large-scale, as is the cranberry star pattern. In each case, the original design (one flourish, one suzani circle, etc.) is 8 inches, to give you an idea of scale. I also wanted to work with colors that are outside of my normal pinks and pastels. I have a couple of other patterns I've created with an orange color scheme that I'll show you later. Even with the deeper color palette, I think these patterns still have that fun but pretty Pink Home feel about them.
What do you think?
