Creative Weekends...No. 1
Hello and welcome to the first Creative Weekends link-up party!
You are welcome to link up any type of creative posts ~ home decorating, craft projects, a new fabric design or knitting pattern, your latest creation from your shop, a creative triumph in the kitchen, tutorials, your latest garden masterpiece, etc. Anything that celebrates creativity is welcome. All I ask is that you link back to The Pink Home in your post or use the Creative Weekends button. Linking will start every Friday afternoon around 2 p.m. and last through Sunday.
Please do take a few minutes and visit a few of your fellow party-goers ~ you may be surprised by what inspires you.
This week I thought I would share a few of my new fabric designs. Some of these may turn out to be wallpaper patterns as well ~ we’ll see. From the top down are Strawberry Punch, Autumn Flourish, Floral Starburst and Daisy Daisy in Orange. Most of these designs are large-scale, though you can’t exactly tell from these snapshots. The flowers and the flourish in the first two and the last designs are each about 8 inches tall/wide. I’ve done a lot of small-scale designs in the past and thought it was time to branch out. I have also brightened my color palette. You can see some other designs I’ve been working on here. Once I’m finished with them, they will be available through Spoonflower. What do you think so far?
I would also like to say congratulations to Beverly at How Sweet the Sound, the hostess of Pink Saturday. Pink Saturday is celebrating its 5th birthday this weekend ~ how wonderful is that? I have enjoyed Pink Saturday for several years at both of my blogs and have met many wonderful bloggers through this weekly tribute to my favorite color. I am happy to be joining once again this week.
Wishing all of you a lovely weekend, full of inspiration...

I love this link up idea! I should be finished my latest "prayer/friendship shawl" by next weekend so perhaps I can share it then!
