An adorable chair makeover...
Isn’t this little chair just the cutest thing? A friend of mine recently decided to make over an old chair she had been lugging around for years for her granddaughter’s pre-K class; the teacher needed something low to sit on for storytime, etc. My friend decided to use my Spiral Bright and Lime Stripes fabrics (available here) for the project. I designed these two patterns to work together ~ the greens in both patterns are a perfect match, and the stripes are a nice complement to the suzani-esque circular pattern.
Here’s the before photo:
And the after photo:
As you can see, she used the Spiral Bright fabric to cover the cushions for the chair, and the Lime Stripes to make a little ruffle. First she painted the chair with some bright and cheery lime green paint that she had left over from a playhouse project ~ the color could not have been a better match.
Seriously, is that not the cutest little chair? It’s simply perfect for a little kid’s class. When my friend sent me the photos of how it turned out, I just couldn’t stop smiling ~ I love it when my fabrics are used to create something beautiful. She did a simply smashing job, don’t you think? I hope the teacher likes it.
P.S. I simply must share this because it thrilled me to no end ~ Martha Stewart added The Pink Home to her circles on Google+. Well, I’m sure it was her staff, but still, isn’t that cool? I’m thrilled to be included in the several thousand people she follows on there - lol. :)
