Slightly delayed dreams...

Life threw one of those dreaded curveballs at me last week.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have to move from our fabulous little rented beach cottage, where we have lived for nearly four years. I spent the weekend incredibly upset ~ the move also means I have to delay the opening of my little Etsy shop, The Pink Home, on which I have been working so hard these last few months. Having to move unexpectedly is bad enough, but when it delays your dreams, too, well, it's a little harder to swallow.
After a few days of feeling sorry for myself, I realized I can't afford to waste my energy on things I can't change, not when there are so many other things that need my attention, so I've decided to accept the situation and move on. For the next few weeks, I will be busy packing and doing other moving chores, instead of actually launching my shop. First, of course, we have to find a new house to rent. We have our eye on one; keep your fingers crossed it comes through for us because it really would be rather perfect.
The shop preparations have been moving right along, so I'm hoping that I'll be able to push things along again once we get our living situation settled. I do have some new things to show you, so I'll try to post some photos of those things over the next few weeks.
Wishing all of you a lovely June, with much less chaos than mine promises.

A few photos from inside our little beach cottage. We have loved living here and will miss it.

That news would take the bloom right off, wouldn't it! Glad you found the courage to just get on and not waste time or energy on the negative!

Wishing you something WONDERFUL that will bring the 'pink' back to your cheeks.......... Prosperous and happy packing and hunting!

Oh Eileen!! I'm so sad for you, having to move from that lovely home. I'm saying a prayer and keeping everything crossed that all will work out with the place you want.
Too bad about the shop too. A little bit longer won't hurt though. I believe that we are exactly where we are supposed to be in our lives. If something hasn't worked out, it wasn't meant to. For some reason, it isn't exactly the right time for your Etsy shop. I must admit though, I'm really looking forward to it opening up! You know how much I loves me some Etsy!

You have such a beautiful home! I'm so sorry you have to move!
Moving is a beast. We bought our home 22 years ago and I remember thinking then, I hope I never do this again. I'm sorry you have to move, but you've got the right idea ... embracing the adventure.
I'm so sorry to hear you must move and delay your special dreams. This happened to my daughter one year ago and it turned out to be the best thing ever as she and her family are now living a new dream and are even happier. I hope you find peace in your changed future!
Hugs,
Coralie

In case you missed it...
