Cute new spring fabrics, Part I...
There's something about spring coming this year that really has me excited. Maybe it's because I'm back on the East Coast suffering through a real winter. Whatever the reason, the coming season has stoked my creativity and I've been busy the last month or two creating new fabric and wallpaper designs. The fabric samples of my spring designs came a couple of days ago and I'm so tickled with them I wanted to share as soon as I could. All of these designs are or will be available in my Spoonflower shop in the next few days.
I wanted fabrics in cheery pastels with fun designs that complemented each other for various projects. These are my first stripe patterns (funny how they're more difficult than you'd think to create, much like polka dot patterns) and I'm really happy with how they turned out. I made the stripes and dot patterns using the same color mixtures so they match.
I also branched out and decided to create a black and white collection ~ with a bit of pink, of course. It's one of my favorite creations. I also really, really love the seafoam and pink stripes pattern directly above. I didn't intentionally create the pale pink rose pattern to go with that fabric, but they really are fab together. What do you think?
Be sure to come back next week to see the rest of my new spring fabrics.
