Bursting with blooms...




These gladioli in my living room are simply bursting with blooms and good cheer. I just love that lovely soft peach against the white ~ they are wonderful together in my soft pink living room. Each day it seems another few blooms come out to add to the show. These may just be my new favorite flower to keep in the living room in the summer. I bought these two bunches for just under $10 at Publix, which is pretty affordable for cut flowers as gorgeous as these.
I hope all of you are enjoying the summer so far. I have been busy repainting my kitchen, which I’ll show you here in a few days. In a couple of weeks, we’re heading off for a short beach vacation. I can’t wait.

Every week my grandfather used to take these flowers to my house when I was a little girl. Also he used to bring me a cake for my birthday, big ballons and money to buy ice cream.

He lived for many years, died at age 84. I cried a lot. I was fourteen years old.

Now that I saw spoonflower..it reminded me that some fabric was donated to my daughter for Christmas gifts she made for the residents of our local care home..these were the most beautiful fabrics and it was so sweet to help out...

I love gladiolas! Yours are so bursting with color! When I owned a home with a laws I always had gladiolas in the garden and array of other flowers.
