Frame me...

I spent the weekend framing a few of my original photographs/artwork for the soon-to-open Pink Home Shop and I thought all of you might enjoy a sneak preview. Bear in mind these are just quick photos I snapped to show all of you. I'll be selling many prints unframed in various sizes, but there were some photos I just felt like I wanted to put my own touches on ~ I had an image in my head of how they should be framed and I wanted to offer people the chance to buy some ready to hang.
The two flowers above are actually digital paintings I created from two photographs I took ~ they are 8x10 prints in 11x14 frames. I love how they came out. I chose beautiful white beadboard frames that really set off the artwork. For the antiqued yellow rose below, which is a 5x7 print, I chose a soft green mat and a creamy frame with a little bit of gold to set it off. Click on each photo to enlarge.
You can see a grouping of some other art in the photo at the bottom. I need to re-mat a slightly smaller print of the bee photo, but it will still go in that frame. And I decided the little creamer pitcher was better as a piece to sit on top of a desk or shelf or mantel, hence the easel. The square pink rose photograph ~ titled Pink in Bloom ~ really looks wonderful in that dramatic setting. All of these, naturally, look much better in person. I framed a few others, too, but you'll have to check those out in the shop when it opens.
If you haven't already, please check out The Pink Home on Facebook or at our new website.
Wishing all of you a lovely week full of beauty...
