Happy Birthday, Emily...

Our sweet, adorable Shih Tzu, Emily, is celebrating a birthday today. She's 6 years old and as cute (and hardheaded) as ever. I thought I'd share some of my favorite pictures of her to celebrate her big day (the photo above is her with her birthday ribbons in on her first or second birthday). We're particularly happy to celebrate her birthday this year because she gave us quite a scare last summer, nearly dying from pancreatitis. Thankfully she pulled through and is completely back to normal. All her fur has finally grown back properly (she had to be shaved in several spots during her ordeal) and she is back to her beautiful, glamorous, fluffy self, just like in the photos below. It's a joy to see her looking so beautiful and healthy.

Since she is my spring baby and there is a bit of pink on some of those pillows Emily likes to lay on, I'm linking to Pink Saturday at How Sweet the Sound

Hope she had a fun birthday. She is a doll. My girls would love her. I have 3 cats and 3 dogs so we do all the birthdays in Sept one day for the dogs one for the cats or we would be b day partying all the time! Have a pink day!

Well a very happy birthday to Emily! What an adorable pooch she is.

I can relate to the medical scare. Our little Ginger dog (beagle) is now 3, but 2 summers ago, she was very ill. Our vet couldn't figure out what was wrong, but she was pretty sure she wasn't going to make it. We took her to the animal ER where she stayed for 2 nights and 3 days (translation: expensive). But she pulled through, and we are so glad. I know you feel the same way about your sweet girl.

And oh, yes, CASABLANCA was wonderful! That film was absolutely, positively MEANT for the big screen, wasn't it?

Have a great weekend.

She is so pretty :-) I just want to give her a big squeezy hug!
Happy Birthday Emily!
